Alberta Day draws colossal crowds at Heritage Park
Thousands flooded through the gates of Heritage Park on Sunday, taking advantage of free entry for Alberta Day.
About 30,000 people were expected to make their way to Calgary’s renowned historical village, which would surpass the record of 22,000 set last year.
Chelsea Perrin and her family were taking advantage of the beautiful weather at the park while celebrating her daughter’s first birthday.
“Everything in Alberta is beautiful; be it the mountains, the weather — minus the winter, the winters (can) be cold — and just all the stuff to do in and around the city,” Perrin said.
