After reading through top secret intelligence last week, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh told a press conference his belief that there are “traitors” on Parliament Hill and that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was knowingly allowing “some level of foreign interference” into the House of Commons.
A reporter then shouted at him, “Why are you continuing to prop up the government that you say isn’t taking democracy seriously?” To this, Singh said he’s “going to demand answers,” but confirmed he wouldn’t be triggering any elections over the issue.

This happens a lot. The NDP Leader will deliver a bloodcurdling address warning of a Canada utterly ruined by Liberal perfidy – and then follow it up by noting that his caucus will continue to support said Liberals for the conceivable future.

Endorsing the “corporate greed” budget after two weeks of waffling

Within minutes of the Liberals releasing their latest federal budget, Singh’s first reaction was to announce that “the Conservative handouts will continue.” It wasn’t immediately clear what he was referring to, although it was likely a reference to the budget retaining corporate tax rates first set during the premiership of Stephen Harper. It was the first of several NDP statements denouncing the new budget as a manifesto of entrenched corporate greed.
