Corbyn declares war on wealth creators ‘I welcome their hatred’

The Labour Party will launch its election manifesto today

JEREMY CORBYN is expected to paint a picture of 1936 America at the Labour Party manifesto in Birmingham this morning as he attempts to rally support for his plan to declare war on big business and the rich.

The Labour Party will unveil its manifesto in attempt to turn the tide in the election and urge voters to back Jeremy Corbyn. They will launch radical plans to overhaul the British economy and unleash an unprecedented public spending boom. But their plans won’t be welcomes by all as Labour plan to fund the spending spree by higher boring and tax hikes on corporations and the rich.

Mr Corbyn will draw inspiration from 1936 America, beset by economic depression, and use President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s line that big business, bankers and speculators are “enemies of peace”.

The Labour leader is expected to say: “The US president who led his country out of the Great Depression, President Franklin Roosevelt, had to take on the rich and powerful in America to do it.

“That’s why he said: ‘They are unanimous in their hate for me, and I welcome their hatred.’”
