Their offices are at the bottom of the dissatisfaction list. Ministers Itamar Ben Gabir and Bezalel Smotritz

Smotrich, Ben-Gvir refuse Biden ceasefire proposal, threaten to leave government

Later, Opposition Leader and Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid slammed their statements, calling them a betrayal to national security

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir both said on Saturday night that they would not agree to US President Joe Biden’s proposal and threatened to leave the government if his plan was accepted.

Smotrich said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, “I just spoke with the prime minister and made it clear that I will not be part of a government that agrees to the proposed outline and ends the war without destroying Hamas and bringing back all the hostages.”

He added, “We will not agree to stop the war before Hamas is destroyed. We will not accept undermining the achievements of the war so far by withdrawing the IDF and allowing Gazans to return to the northern part of the [Gaza] Strip. We will not permit the wholesale release of terrorists who might return to murder Jews.”

Smotrich demanded “the continuation of the fight until Hamas is destroyed and all hostages are returned.”

“We seek the creation of a completely different security reality in Gaza and Lebanon, the return of all residents to their homes in the North and South, and massive investment in the accelerated development of these areas,” he said.

Imagine a neighboring state had sent 1000+ terrorists and invaded southern Florida from Cuba on October 7th instead. Then gang raped, beheaded, massacred 40,000+ (equivalent based on population) innocent American men, women and children before fleeing back whence they came taking with them 1000’s of American hostages. Once back home they then murdered some and paraded their dead bodies through the streets of their capital to the delirious cheering population lining the streets as though it was a western Santa Claus parade.

Meanwhile rockets continue to rain down on America. Americans across the board would be screaming for revenge not peace. Even mush for brains Biden would have ordered a retaliatory response on a level of furiosity the world might have never seen. Full scale invasion aka Israel. There would be no cease fire agreement until unconditional surrender and war crime retribution. If the terrorists responsible lined up civilians in front of them as a human shields, stockpiled weapons under a hospital or fired rockets from a school ground it would be ‘unfortunate collateral’ nothing more, nothing less. Blame affixed where the blame belonged. Not being Jewish, the world would unit behind America. The righteous fury of Americans would demand scorched earth and neither Biden nor any other POTUS would deny them their wish.

So as far as Biden urging Israel to agree to a ceasefire with Hamas, he’s full of double standard crap. He wouldn’t dare.
