HAMILTON — Justin Trudeau showed once again on Monday that he lives by one set of rules while holding everyone else to a different standard.
While making a hastily arranged and short on detail health care announcement in Hamilton, Trudeau both denounced People’s Party Leader Maxime Bernier — calling him intolerant — while giving himself another pass on wearing blackface at least three times.
Global News had reported on Monday morning that at least three people who had signed the People’s Party official papers to register as a political party had ties to anti-immigrant or white supremacist groups. One was even a party official kicked out when his Neo-Nazi ties were exposed.
Trudeau was asked if this news meant that Bernier should be removed from the leaders’ debates.
“I look forward to the opportunity to call out Mr. Bernier for his intolerance and his approach that I think hurts Canadians,” Trudeau said.
Seconds later, when asked what his costume was in the video obtained by Global, Trudeau dodged.
“I’m continuing to be open with Canadians about the mistake I made,” Trudeau said while refusing to answer the question.
