It’s August, so it’s sabre-rattling time for education sector workers.

Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) President Fred Hahn is threatening a strike vote for support workers in early September.

Sam Hammond, the head of the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario (ETFO) and Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF) leader Harvey Bischoff also fired up their rhetoric about the fight ahead.

All their contracts expire August 31.

They’ll tell you it’s not about their salaries. It’s all about the quality of education.
