Canadians expect their government to uphold the law and operate with integrity, but they are being let down by a Liberal government that has shown it is incapable of governing ethically or transparently.
Justin Trudeau made enormous promises to Canadians in the last election. He vowed to improve transparency and foster good government. However, his poor judgment and bad decisions have repeatedly embarrassed Canadians at home and on the world stage. Canadians are tired of Justin Trudeau’s never-ending scandals and cover-ups.
It’s clear that transparency is nothing more than a talking point to this Liberal government. Trudeau has shown he is willing to intimidate, lead a campaign to interfere in a criminal trial, and misuse his position of power in order to silence those who refuse to toe the Liberal line.
This is a prime minister who places selfish personal interests ahead of what’s best for Canadians. Trudeau doesn’t believe in transparency; he believes in doing whatever it takes to save his own political skin.
The SNC-Lavalin scandal shocked Canadians with details of Trudeau’s efforts to interfere in our judicial system, with former attorney general Jody Wilson-Raybould’s independence and his subsequent efforts to intimidate her into following his demands. When she spoke out about the mistreatment she was subject to by the Prime Minister and his staff, Justin Trudeau kicked her out of the Liberal caucus.
The message is clear: Justin Trudeau doesn’t take no for an answer.
