Mark Jan. 6, 2021 for posterity. The United States of America will never be the same. In one day, we may have witnessed the dawn of a new American revolution and perhaps the beginning of the end of the Republican Party.
Vice President Mike Pence’s betrayal of the president was the final coup de grace of a long list of betrayals perpetrated by the Republican Party against its president and its constituents. In a stunning day of treachery, Republican leaders were some of the first people condemning Trump protesters for daring to breach the Capitol. There was no looting, burning or major property destruction, yet GOP immediately demonized these average patriots as violent thugs. When Antifa and Black Lives Matter committed real violence in blue cites this past summer they were called “mostly peaceful protestors,” with “fiery but mostly peaceful protests.”
Liz Cheney, who I must confess I once respected 10 years ago, was one of the shrillest voices of condemnation accusing President Trump of inciting the protestors to riot. At no time did she address reports that Antifa had infiltrated the Trump protestors. The GOP could have easily expressed some understanding of the frustration of these Trump supporters and allowed them to express their rage but as always, they are the first to throw their supporters to the lions in their false and insincere efforts to appear principled.
Ashli Babbitt, a 14-year USAF veteran from San Diego was martyred in the protests Wednesday when she was apparently shot by an unidentified Capitol Police officer as she was climbing through a window to make her way into the Capitol building. Months of rioting by Antifa and BLM and no protestors shot by law enforcement authorities, but one day of outrage by Trump supporters and it’s zero tolerance. Truly, a hateful double standard.
Personally, I have never felt such a sick feeling in my stomach when witnessing the duplicity of the Republicans, but the truth is this party has always been this way. We just chose to ignore it, thinking we could change it within.

A message for the GOP who are jumping ship the likes of the Education Secretary for example? Cowards. Chicken shit cowards. You owe America due diligence instead you symbolically throw down your rifle and flee in the face of the enemy without a fight trying to save yourselves. America owes you nothing, it never did. “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country”. That’s how Patriots think and act. Being a Patriot is not a you scratch my back I’ll scratch yours relationship with your country. You also owe the GOP Party the same due diligence. The GOP Party owes you nothing. Good riddance. You’re showing your true colour and its yellow.
