Who is Andrew Scheer today — Harper, Ford, Kenney or all three?

The day after passing a doomsday motion declaring Canada to be in the throes of a “national climate emergency,” all non-binding naturellement, the Trudeau Liberals gave the go-ahead to the Trans Mountain pipeline which has the purpose of getting the “dirty oil” sucked out of Alberta’s tarsands-oilsands to better markets abroad.

This is defined by Webster’s as a “contradictory doubleness of thought.”

Or, in one word, duplicity.

The Trudeau Liberals are forever shameless in all they do, of course, because it is all for the greater good, and particularly for the middle class they have mythically rescued, and they, therefore, see no hypocrisy in crying wolf on one day and then letting the wolf in the front door on the very next day.

So, is there a “national climate emergency” or not?

Even before Conservative leader Andrew Scheer laid on his party’s long-anticipated climate plan Wednesday, the Liberals already hated it.

They had everyone wound up to excitedly play the fool and give their thumbs-down to a climate plan they hadn’t yet seen.

Likely no Canadian beyond North Vancouver has ever heard of Jonathan Wilkinson, being Minister of Fisheries is not exactly a plum portfolio putting him in the daily headlines but, almost psychic-like, he too hated Scheer’s climate plan, sight unseen.

“The Conservative Party will bring forward a climate plan that will attempt to mask what Conservative politicians in Canada always do,” Wilkinson threw out to reporters gathered in the House of Commons foyer, obviously having no major fisheries announcement to make about chub mackerel or halibut.

“They ignore the problem,” added Wilkinson. “They question or reject science and they make harmful cuts just like Stephen Harper did and just like Doug Ford is doing now.”

Stephen Harper? Doug Ford?

Jumping Jehosophats! How low can they go?
