Canada's government has abandoned its responsibility to lead
It is bringing us into widespread contempt and ridicule in the world.
It is bringing us into widespread contempt and ridicule in the world.

Because of my frequent criticism of the present federal government’s Indigenous and climate change policies, which along with posturing about matters relating to gender are the principal preoccupations of this regime, I have withheld comment about the ongoing rail blockades here and with my friend John Oakley on CFMJ (Toronto), an AM radio station. The problem has festered for two weeks as the federal government fumbles and obfuscates, passes the buck to the provinces and calls for “patience.” It is now the most absurd fiasco to afflict a Canadian government since John Diefenbaker announced in January 1963 that at the meeting of U.S. president John F. Kennedy and British prime minister Harold MacMillan in the Bahamas a week before (which Diefenbaker crashed), there had been “a change in the views of NATO” about nuclear weapons, and Canada would not honour its commitment to deploy atomic warheads in anti-aircraft missiles.

He had pledged to this deployment (with a dual firing authority — the government of Canada and the NATO command both had to approve use). This was a breach of faith with our principal allies and the alliance system that assured Canada’s security. It was a monstrous falsehood about what Kennedy and MacMillan agreed, was unutterable nonsense in straight military terms (without such warheads, the Bomarc missile would have had warheads of sand). The government fell, the Liberals under Lester B. Pearson came into office, and the warheads were deployed.

A minuscule number of radicals (undeniably with some foreign organizing and funding) have declared economic war on our once great nation. On our way of life. They have brought our nation to its knees. What will it take to wake up Canadians, really wake up, and say enough is enough? Swap out the issues this guy raises for what is being rammed down Canadian’s throats right now. The issues are different but from what is being allowed to be done to our country, and the politicians are absolutely failing us all, the anger should be the same. How much is the sheep herd willing to take before they rise up and convey their disgust and anger something like this?

PM Pierre Trudeau in the face of a dire threat to our nation:

Yes, I think the society must take every means at its disposal to defend itself against the emergence of a parallel power which defies the elected power in this country, and I think that goes to any distance. So long as there is a power in here which is challenging the elected representative of the people, I think that power must be stopped and I think it’s only, I repeat, weak-kneed bleeding hearts who are afraid to take these measures.

At any cost? How far would you go with that? How far would you extend that?” the CBC reporter interrupted.

“Well, just watch me,”

In stunning contrast…the circumstances may differ but the trophy the ‘enemy’ seeks is the same, Canada.

PM Justin Trudeau in the face of a dire threat to our nation:

Ah…um…ah…um.. the barricades must come down.

Justin Trudeau’s modern day version of Churchill’s We shall fight them on the beaches speech ? Amazingly, despite Trudeau’s nation rousing speech of defiance of those who seek our economic and national destruction this small and radical group of far-left protestors prevail. They continue to straddle Canada and literally choke the life out of her. Aside from the occasional weak flailing of a ‘limb’ the victim remains mostly submission. Meanwhile it appears that about the most we can expect from the vast majority of Canadians is to stand around and figuratively record the event on their cellphones.

Factually true.

“Glad to see a couple Albertans with a pickup truck can do more for our economy in an afternoon than Justin Trudeau could do in four years,” the tweet read.

Peter MacKay, you typical pathetic run of the mill example of what ails conservative or wannabe conservative leaders. Cowardice. After making an indisputably accurate observation, at the first hint of controversy! Instead of standing up like a man, instead of counter punching he tucks his tail between your legs and runs for his now what should be worthless political life.

Hours after that thread hit MacKay’s Twitter feed, he tweeted out a statement denouncing both the protests and those engaged in the “peaceful removal of debris” from railways.

Canadian law is not a fence. But Peter MacKay just demonstrated that he is a weakling, a fence sitter. A court order is to obeyed, not ignored. Obeyed not debated. Obeyed not negotiated. There is ONLY one law in Canada.

“There is no room for reality, in an overly politically correct society.”
