NIGEL FARAGE has ruled out a future deal with the Conservative Party in the event of an early general election this year as he claimed he would not believe the Tories would come up with a clear and unequivocal policy on Brexit.
Speaking to BBC Radio 4 Today Programme, Mr Farage said he was unlikely to do a deal with a Tory leader who wanted to leave the EU with no deal because he did not believe that would happen. He said: “Whatever any Conservative leader says well why would I believe them because we’ve heard it all before. Theresa May telling us 108 times we would leave on March 29 and we didn’t.”
The Brexit Party leader came out triumphant from the European parliamentary elections topping the polls in England and Wales so far.
The die-hard Brexiteer pledged to cause havoc at the next general elections in an attempt to completely change the two-party system in the Commons.
But asked whether he could do a deal with a Tory leader who promised to take the UK out of the European Union on October 31 with or without a deal, Mr Farage added: “I do not believe the Conservative Party is even capable of producing a leader through this contest with that kind of clear message, I just don’t think it’s going to happen.”
